EPD Thailand

The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) acts like a label that indicates the "ingredients" of a product, including its environmental impacts throughout its lifecycle. EPDs are calculated based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the product, which includes raw material acquisition, manufacturing processes, transportation, use phase, and disposal or recycling. The EPD provides numerical data on the product's environmental impact in six categories:

  • Global Warming
  • Potential (GWP),
  • Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP),
  • Acidification Potential (AP),
  • Eutrophication Potential (EP),
  • Photochemical Ozone Creation Potential (POCP),
  • Depletion of Abiotic Resources (fossil and non-fossil).
